Babar Azam’s Attempt to Imitate MS Dhoni Backfires

Pakistan cricketer Babar Azam faced a situation where a fan invaded the field to hug the star cricketer, but Babar made a fool out of himself when the security dragged the young fan out of the ground.

Babar Azam, the legendary cricketer from Pakistan, has been a supreme talent for the neighboring nation; however, he has always made a fool of himself whenever he has tried to intimidate the players from their neighbouring nation, India.

Babar Azam’s Form in the Pakistan Super League

Babar is currently the greatest-ever run-scorer in the shortest format of the game, as he has crossed Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli on the list of runs in international T20 cricket. However, his form has been a major concern in recent times.

While Babar Azam has been a stunning cricketer in the shortest format of the game, his recent stats in the ongoing Pakistan Super League have left his fans overjoyed as the star cricketer seems to be back in supreme form.

During one such game, the legendary cricketer saw a few of his fans invade the pitch, where he tried to playfully avoid the fans’ hugs, thus imitating the former act from Chennai Super Kings star MS Dhoni.

However, in doing so, the securities who immediately rushed into the ground made a fool out of him as they dragged the fan out after catching him by his collar. This was not seemingly a benevolent act, and even Azam did not ask the securities to go light on them.

In another incident, there was a fan who intruded on the match and was caught by the security, who beat him in the middle of the pitch.

Babar Azam’s Performance in the Pakistan Super League

Babar Azam is currently the highest scorer of this season of the Pakistan Super League. Having played in all 10 matches for the franchise he leads in the PSL, Babar has scored several runs for the Peshawar Zalmi.

Having featured in all matches throughout the Pakistan Super League group stages, he has amassed 588 runs and has averaged 84 in this edition of the competition while also scoring runs at a very healthy strike rate.

In their last game against the Islamabad United, the skipper led from the front as he scored a century, leading the way for a massive total for his team, which led them to a win in the first playoff game of the season.

The Peshawar Zalmi are currently at the top of the Pakistan Super League points table and have managed to win eight matches, finishing with just 17 points. Playing the Qualifier 1, he defeated the Islamabad United side and qualified straight into the finals.

Zalmi have been a former champion on many occasions but not in recent years; however, the Babar Azam-led side seems to be the most successful team this season. Having amassed so many runs, he has also scored two centuries and three half-centuries in the competition.
